Don't ignore this post just because it may appear at first glance to be too intellectual for your humble minds.

Onward then on our quest for the pursuit of goodwill of the environment!

Tip: Remember to switch off all main switches of electrical appliances!

Ok, so all of us have heard (and are sick) of the usual "turn off all appliances if you aren't using them". But I don't know if most of you have heard of the one where you should turn off the main switch after using appliances. You know? The thingy with the red light that remains on even if you switch of the fan or something. YES that one. The one that starts your hot water going which most of you (i'm sure) leave on for the whole day. Well, although it may seem little, that tiny little bittle red switch also consumes...surprise surprise...ENERGY!

So, remember to flick that switch off, it doesn't require much effort!

Pros:
1. You save energy
2. You can burn off some finger fats in the flicking action that is involved
3. Provide you with a 1 second destressing moment out of all those stressful stressful projects! Yes! Defeats even a walk in the park!
4. You will get the Head of FBU's steady approval

hi. im part of S.O.M.P. so i have decided that it is time to post something. to show that i m actually part of S.O.M.P. so here im. posting something. although this post might not be a very sensible post and it might irritate you when you read it, but well, its still a post. today was an easy job for security,no breaches today,except i noticed,the words 'somp' at the back of the classroom were pretty clear,so maybe it isn't much of a secret anymore.

dear fellow maturians with maturity, it has come to my attention that we've been exposed! yes,exposed! in the sense that others who aren't in somp actually KNOW that somp exists! tsktsk,our well-kept secret isn't much of a secret anymore. this is a breach of our top class security, and such an act shall not be tolerated. my team and I (anybody wanna join anot.) will get down to the issue and break it down into dust.

not-very-fun-but-mature-fact-of-the-day:
oh yeah, did you know, tissue paper is made from recycled paper? but still,that does not give us a reason to waste such a valuable resource. just like how we learnt about water in our second year of secondary school during our quest of geographical knowledge. tissue paper,yes tissue paper, is as much a strategic resource as water is. without tissue paper, and, ahem, this may sound crude, pardon me, how do we wipe our, er, chocolate cream? so guys,remember,before you,er,wipe that chocolate cream,estimate exactly how much u really need before actually tearing off more than you can wipe.

NOOOO I am not here to spread environmental propaganda or degrade your luxiourised life. I am here to talk about an IMPORTANT and MATURE concept of all of your lives that all of you will ultimately achieve!

Since we are all in SOMP (or about to be in SOMP, currently in the unofficial 'YAH'), we are all young, intelligent individuals (as chairman says). We must be responsible, aware and maturised! So, we all and I mean all have to understand that the environment plays a biggie part in the world!

So, on with the show!
Environmental Tip of the week:

We all know how tissue papers are all SQUARE and HORRIDLY LARGE and TOO SUFFICIENT for our usage. Ok if you have a bleeding nose, ignore this gentle msg. If you are sick, ignore this innocent post. if you are ridiculously in urgent need (shan't speculate), ignore this sincere plead.

Now..to the rest of you! Since the tissue paper is SO large...you can always tear it in half. yes, those are the words of wisdom for the week! tear in half. Very easy. Think about it.

We have 26 in the class. If one uses an average of 2 tissues a day, we will use 52 tissues a day. if we use half, we will end up using 26 tissues! Either way, it will be reduced by HALF! 50 %! How good is that??

A very good evening to all of you. there are 6 announcements for today, 30/03/2005:

2. anybody knows how to link the application form to this site?

3. the template is for the CPU to do. but i know you all are busy with the board. i must commend on your effort all of you have put in to make this board. its very very well done. lets give those who did the board a round of applause -claps claps claps

4. this template is only temporary. if you have any nice and mature templates, feel free to change it.

5. we need to think of a SOMP cheer. please use your creative and mature minds to think of some.

6. i know its hard for you guys & girls to tolerate our classmates who are not as mature as us. they call themselves YAH - young at heart. so copycat, so not original, and so immature right? so as Mature Young Individuals (MYIs), we shall forgive those juvenile YAHers/YAHians. they are just jealous that they cant get into SOMP yet. but they'll be in SOMP eventually, cept scholars. andre can set up a "Soceity for Super Mature People" and all the scholars can join. i hope we can try to influence the YAHians to be more mature so that we can live together as one happy and loving class.
